Found Fawn

This picture is of Spenser Stufflebeam(left) and Donovan Beaty(right), with a fawn. Spenser’s dog (Josie) picked this fawn up and brought it to him while he and Donavan were playing in the woods at his house in rural Moravia. He brought it in the house to show his mother Angela and she snapped this picture.

Rare Bird Sighting

Yesterday I took these pictures of the Red Crossbill. (Also seen it at the same feeder today.) I checked my bird book and an internet site, and both shows it is a very rare bird for our area. My-National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Birds- states,

"The Crossbills feed exclusively on conifer seeds." I can tell them,and have proof, that the birds seemed to like my 'black-oil sunflower seeds' just fine.

Maybe the weather has something to do with them visiting our area. What ever the reason, I really enjoyed seeing them and taking the photos.
